That’s some chunky depreciation. Sure you would get more off it too.

I’ve always loved running the classic Defender as they have always held strong residuals and more recently climbed in value. Many motorists don’t view depreciation as a running cost, but in the above example, it’s been shedding £1100 a month on your drive before fuel, tax and insurance....

Probably a lot of this happening as they have pulled The 4cylinder diesel now, so who is going to want something which has an obsolete engine 6months after release, there are likely issues hence they have been pulled so soon. 6cylinder should be smoother and more appealing and maybe hold value better. But I think new defenders will be like range rovers and depreciate heavily until they get a following. Many won’t want to take them past warranty to begin with until people really know what they are like. It’s more like a discovery so hence more disposable vehicle rather than one which people will want to make live forever

Wouldn't you think if they were advertising it they'd at least correctly list it as "silver" not grey?
