Bearmach 2” LED spotlight - anyone used one?
Morning all,

As per the subject, has anyone used the following 2” spot supplied by Bearmach?

https://bearmach.com/led-work-flood-lamp-2-round-ba-7222

I’m looking to buy a pair which I would plan to attach under the rear cross member, slightly recessed. These are not to replace either the ‘official’ reverse light or fog light, but instead would be to create a puddle of light to the rear of my DC so that it looks cool. Sorry, I didn’t mean to look cool, but to help reversing down my driveway at night. My driveway is 100m long, only slightly wider than the DC, has 10m high hedging to either side, is unlit, is gravel and on a 10% slope. It’s fine in summer, but is awful during the darker months especially with snow or ice on the track. The LED reverse light is not up to the job and I want to create a pool of light on a separate switch just to offer me another 10m of view as I creep slowly backwards.

So, has anyone used these light? How good is the pool of light? How far does it go?

I’m sure many will offer some other options, for which I’m always grateful, but I want the units themselves to be out of sight, so for now I do not want some sooner-dooper, 1m lumin LED strapped to the roll cage, and I don’t want to spend a fortune on something I will use at most 60 secs a day for 4 months of the year. When I get the 110SW full length roll cage fitted, then I’ll get a proper work light added. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

As ever Greeni, your approach is entirely pragmatic. I think I’ll do exactly that. Worst case scenario is that they get added to the ‘well, that didn’t work’ pile. And it’s not as if it’s three pints missed at the pub, given that’s ages away. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

i have these and the older style they used to sell on my trl 2 on top and 4 underneath ( 2 point sideways and 2 rear wards ) not failed yet and they get bounced around. paint work is holding up ok

the older ones lost their coating within 12 mths but worked fine for 3 yrs and were on the trl when i sold it.

beam pattern is very good and not to much ampage needed for them
