Mine has a black bung - although it does say 12 volt in white letters on the front so makes it much easier to find

If you look close enough, you'll see that the armrest between the seats actually has a lid. Inside you should find the owner's handbook  
My first weeks with the Defender, being a German in a British car: ignition key: you can still see scratch marks on the right hand side of the steering column
filling station: stopping at the wrong side of the pump, again...

The little white arrow at the side of the fuel pump symbol tells you what side your filler is located

Yes, but also in the wrong order: C lutch, B rake, A ccelerate
Very confusing.
