Tuning defender td5
Hi,

I'm new here, driving defender for several years now. Def 110 td5 2002, and I am very interested in tuning the motor. Hardware like intercooler and turbo I understand and I learned myself programming the ECU. Find lots of interesting treads here and therfore I signed in. First my upgrades:
- decat pipe
- egr delete
- 3,5 Bar MAP sensor
Did some tuning in this set-up, running good at 2,6-2,7 bar boost pressure. No boost box or whatever, all changes in software.
Today installed:
- Bigger intercooler
- hybrid Turbo
- silicon hoses
Runs good, but with nanocom saw that there was no air flow, MAF sensor was fallen on the ground and I think broken. Had an other one from my disco2 but the car was running not as good with MAF on. Was pulling bad on low revs, in higher revs better as it seems turbo kicked in.
Question:

Why no low revs power with maf attached?
What max airflow is possible with uprated turbo?
What max turbopressure you drive your tuned td5? (so mine runs 2.6, means 1.6 turbo pressure)

greatings,

Extra:
do big tuned cars run with MAF sensor, I think it can read to max 800 kg/h? How you solve?

Its the MAF sensor going "out of scale" you can rescale the MAF within the ECU tuning to a degree but more often than not its easier to delete the MAF from the software and run disconnected.

Currently 28psi on a VNT turbo. Instagram @defender_ventures
