Rubbery interior vs. Crumbs
From my observations, there are two types of New Defender Owner at large in the UK:
The Artisanal Croissant Consumer
The Fuel Station Sausage Roll Muncher

Two very different worlds, but both are plagued with the challenge of crumb management.

I've noticed that the new defenders have hard wearing rubberised trim in and around the centre console/storage area. I like the soft touch feel alternative to hard plastic, and I assume it will be hard wearing, but I am not so impressed with the slightly sticky/tacky feel to some of the interior pieces in the centre console. Seems like it's going to be a pain to clean properly..

So what're your tips? Leave it to Jeeves to figure out? Hose it down with a pressure washer?

It’s not hard to clean. Just wipe with a damp cloth. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Doesn’t take long to mop up the crumbs and dried mud from the interior with my rechargeable Dyson cleaner with the long bristle brush attachment on it. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

It’s the easiest LR I’ve had for interior cleaning, just sweep the crumbs out, wipe with a damp cloth.

My Velar was too posh (completely opposite to me) and everything was gloss black, finger prints everywhere, nightmare to keep clean. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
