I tapped mine from the hazard feed because I wanted the USB sockets to be live at all times. It is also worth noting that the illumination on the Mud USB sockets is waaay too bright compared with the original LR switches. To fix this I inserted a 200K resistor into the illumination +ve for each socket. This is a very low current application so you'll be fine with a 0.25w or 0.4w. I'm not sure what my resistors' ratings are but they'll be in that vicinity judging by their size.
