MHEV - Technical Details
Hi

Anyone have any technical details on the MHEV that will be on the 3.0TDI's?

Will the batteries be in the boot - under the boot floor - reducing the space where the foam is?

Also anyone have any more news if its possible to change the foam/polystyrene to the floor in the hardtop?

THANKS

Maybe in the same place as it is on the P400 which is also an MHEV? And as that is available as a 7 seater it can’t be under the boot floor otherwise there would be even less leg room Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Thanks - but no - not really - thats talking more on the PHEV - the Plug in - not MHEV.

The batteries are much larger on the PHEV.

THANKS

But watching the video it did discuss the D300 Engine.. so useful... THANKS

I don’t think the diesels have the supercharger, just the MHEV system which so far as I can tell is basically a posh kind of start/stop. And an integrated starter/generator.

Yes - I thought that - but was not sure

Also looking at the engine bay - its tight with the 4 cylinder.. will the 2 extra cylinders mean pushing the gear box back and a shorter prop?

Hopefully some more details and reviews will start to appear now the engine is available.

Looking at In Stock Cars while whiling away the day.. came across this in D200 I6 (Advert)

See the difference on the new D200 Dash in 4x4i

- No centre Diff?? or dont they show on the centre display - just main screen?

Also looks different at top centre... to do with MHEV?

If it didn’t have a centre diff (of some variety), it couldn’t run in 4WD without Series-style wind-up - it’s a multi-plate clutch rather than fixed gears.
