Prob not for my TD5 looking at RED booster fitting instructions, as need to move header tank and fit a vacumn tank etc.

I’m interested as my knees are shot, is it a fit and forget item other than levels being topped up?

How much difference does it make?

Cheers

I have a TD5 redbooster in my truck and would absolutely recommend one. Mine was fitted by the previous owner who if I remember correct was neighbours with UKs rep in Edinburgh. You can even see my trucks former glory on the redbooster front page.
I've only ever had to fettle with it once, only because the garage who replaced my clutch and dmf royally messed about with it!
I measured the pedal force against my mum's Freelander a while back (can't remember the numbers) and was considerably lighter.
If I were to ever buy another Defender, one of the first things I'd do is install another redbooster Thumbs Up Stuart

I did a write up when mine got fitted. If you search for redbooster and my user name in the appropriate section you will find it complete with pics. I’ve had 0 problems with mine and if I hadn’t had it fitted then I would have had my motor up for sale last year when I had a very large bakers cyst inside my left knee. I totally recommend it to anyone especially if you’re having any problems with your left leg. Yes the expansion tank moves slightly and a vacuum reservoir is fitted under the offside wing top but as you will see from the pics it looks factory. PS, no levels to be topped up, the servo is vacuum ‘powered’.

Are we saying this definitely wont fit a TD5? or just that it needs more work/parts to make it fit?
Thought I was ok with the clutch as I'd just been doing short journeys, I spent a couple of hours with it the other day and I need to do something to make it lighter either one of these or a LOF spring perhaps....

Cheers all

Changed my standard overcentre spring for a LOF one, I did not feel any difference, but maybe thats me. Still bloody heavy, wife does not lie reversing trailer with clutch as it is.
