I was looking at the Defender and Discovery - and the Disco has a deposit contribution and double the discount

So basically around 8K less than list with lower Finance Rate 4.9% APR - £2500 Deposit Contribution and £5500 discount

Compared to Defender which was just £3500 Discount and 5.9% APR

The D5 is nice and the incentives look good but for me the Defender feels right, feels like a Land Rover.

The D5 is nicer - same spec car is £100 a month less... but prefered the Defender - despite the fact I want if for my Dogs - and the boot is better...

(Big Dogs)

On a drive the Defender felt better...

So Defender won out....

I’m seeing a lot of ID3’s around now, seems to be selling really well so I wonder why they need to discount them. I know an owner and they’ve had loads and loads of problems with electronics, so many that LR’s New Defender electronics issues pale into insignificance!. In a fortnight of ownership the car has been trailered, undrivable to the dealers twice......... but they still like it! Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Yes The ID3 has had a lot of glitches ! It all seem software related with modules not sleeping causing the 12v battery to drain and bricking the cars. We’ve had bmw i3s as the little runaround since they were launched this will replace it. Looking forward to a change tbh. I’ll let you know when the glitches start Smile 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE
