Can I automate an F5 to make that happen? I mean ... that'd be an awful thing to do.

Mines build date is the 5th February with delivery very early March they say. I first saw the 90 in the flesh in 2019, it’s been a long wait. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

When you get it - see if it has a self park function - described in the 2021 user guide... seems a new feature?

Got it home. What a car! Absolutely blown away by it. The D300 is night and day to the D240 I tested. Goes like stink, with no effort. Sounds very beefy when you want it to, silent when it needs to be. Gears are perfectly matched to the power.

Interior is a superb mix of Defender utility and Discovery comfort. I won’t use the word Luxury because it’s a different concept.

A lot to learn now, but initial impression is I’m really going to like this.

The Carpathian isn’t as dark as I thought it would be, looks much better on Defender than it does on FFRR or RRS where it appears to be much darker, almost black. Hope you have many uneventful miles with it. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Some interior shots. Quality is very good. Not as luxurious as my D4 was (HSE Lux) which is understandable. Heated/cooled front seats are great. Heated wheel is hot! Infotainment seems good but a lot to learn.

They seem to have sorted out the viscous brakes that the 240 I drove had. These are very progressive. Steering is good, no wandering and no pull to the left that my D4 always had.

Rear boot, the rubber floor protector gets in the way of flexible dog net. Needs attacking with a knife to fit properly. Dog net top fixings are easy, bottom straps fiddly. Rear seat folds flat easily.

Adaptive cruise control is great but I’m going to need practice. Took me by surprise when a car came out of the slip road to my left, and it was a fair way out in front, the car slowed and took the car behind me by surprise!

In Control app is not working. No idea why but I can’t login. Any ideas?

Gareth I had that same problem with the new app and worked with the iT guys at Land Rover to try to find out why I couldn’t log in. We never resolved the problem and they suggested using the previous version that is available on the App Store and I was in first attempt and have been using it since without problems. If you still have the from your D4 on your phone try logging in on that one and add the new cars details to it- it has all the same functions as the later app so you won’t loose the remote start function using the old app
Try this one from the app stores

Very nice, love the colour Thumbs Up

The breaks are different to the D240 they had twin piston the D300 has 4 piston callipers.
