Great to hear the dealership and your sales advisor doing the right thing and digging in hard! I'm going to be interested to see what my base-base model shows up with in terms of seats; I currently have full cloth and my dealer has had no comments on water-staining on them, they say. Perhaps because it's a desert in the middle of one of the worst droughts in 100 years, but still.... So I popped into Halfords in Banbury today to get my granddaughter a new bike helmet & when I came out saw that a 21 plate 90 in metallic green with black wheels had been parked up & my (so far) ambivelance for the new Defender changed, almost immediately...what a corker & it looks so much better in the flesh than the pictures.
Well, now I have a problem, desire has again raised its ugly head BUT the thought of, yet again, going through the trials of warranty issues with JLR dealers (& I talk from bitter experience) is enough to temper my enthusiasm...I'm also still uneasy as to post warranty maintenance costs & the willingness of independent garages to carry out routine services etc. So, sat on the fence getting splinters up my arse...what hasn't helped is Mrs Fat Cog saying "if you want one just get one but don't keep going on about it"... Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains |

Oh yes, that’s Defender.
It won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but I love it, the steel wheels just make a massive difference to the look.
