Spotify into Pivi Pro
Looking for a bit of help/info.

I presume that Spotify can be added to the car as an App in the media section?
I have not tried to add it and to be honest I've not even looked to see if its there.
Is this how you go about setting it up.

Get the correct data package on the vehicle.
Set your InControl account up on the landrover portal.
Whilst in your portal select Spotify as an app and log in so Spotify is connected.

Now this is the bit I'm not sure of.
Go to the car and find Spotify in the menu and somehow activate it or will it simply appear as an app in the media centre?

I can plug my phone in via the usb to use Android Auto and everything works perfectly including Spotify.

I'm just wondering if Spotify can be used as app in the car independent of Android Auto? 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Yes it can be added independently of your phone and will use you car's prepaid data plan to stream music. As long as you are signed into InControl and you have a valid Spotify subscription (I don't believe a free subscription will work), go to the Connect Accounts > Media link on the touchscreen, pick the Spotify app and follow the instructions to activate, it will appear in your Media folder as a result. See photo below. I'm afraid it will disappear occasionally, along with the Weather app... Resetting Pivi Pro usually gets it back.

When I got my car it had Spotify, now it hasn't! I read a FB post that if you connect your car to an external wi-fi it appears - no it doesn't.....

I don't have the data SIM, just the internal data for updates, but it wasn't connected to an external w-ifi when I first saw it so not sure where it has gone. What is irritating is in the PiviPro menu it insinuates that I have the data SIM, but won't allow me to turn it on.

To be honest I just use Tidal thorough Apple Play instead, but it is irritating. Having not had the greatest experience with the dealer I bought the car from I am loathe to even ring them to get it sorted, will take it to my local dealer after lockdown. 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux

My Spotify app went missing as well about a week ago. However, I decided to do the reset procedure by holding down the volume button for about 10 or more seconds...when my screen rebooted, the Spotify app came back. Ray

This happened (happens) to mine. If you reset the Pivi pro system it should reappear. I thought it was something to do with the 'R' above the car's inbuilt 4g signal. However this seems to have been fixed with the latest SOTA update. I haven't had an issue lately.

I have also asked JLR what the 'R' refers to (including pictures) they are just as lost on it as me... 2020 Defender 110 First Edition with a couple of factory options

Sorry I should have updated this thread, my spotify works ok now. You have to make sure your account is enabled and you are logged in. Spotify isn't instant when you start the car it takes say 30 seconds or so to 'wake up' I presume the pivi pro needs to boot up and log the user in before appears on the screen. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

No news?
I read today that:
Combine Pivi Pro with the Online Pack, and you can access even more connected features

• Stream music and podcasts through Online Media connected services

• Sync your Google and/or Outlook Calendar

• Access live weather updates with AccuWeather

• Provides all the mobile data you need for your Online Pack features including unlimited music streaming

• Connect easily to your Online Pack features via email or by scanning a QR code

Nothing works on my Pivi

Same issues here, about to give up on pivi pro and just use CarPlay as it seems to just work

Have now reset PP and Spotify is back but it’s not practical to keep doing this oh and I can’t select it ?????

I had a SIM in the extra sim slot as I thought that’s what was required despite having opted for the online pack (along with most other tech packs)

I was also under the impression it had a wifi hotspot spot that I could connect a dashcam to but apparently not in Australia ????

I’ve now put a mobile router in the car to connect the dashcam to the cloud but can’t seem to connect the 110 to it for anything but updates which haven’t come since 30th Jan 7 weeks ago 2.0.8
