M3/M25 traffic
Is anyone able to tell me what the traffic is like where the M3 meets the M25 in the mornings?

brings back memories. i used to get to the M3/M25 junction by about 07:30 otherwise it was normally backed up, i am driving from the east.

most days i took off down the A3 to Guildford and then cut across to the M3 via the A31 and A331........usually much clearer traffic and quicker.

good luck! BM52

Its been Censored ed every night this week with the heavy showers, should be better next week the kids are on holiday and its a lot of factory closedowns. Traffic should be much better for a few weeks. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Depends on direction of travel.
If you're on M3 london bound its horrendous, often back to Junc 4 [15 miles!] between 07.30 - 09.00
likewise if on M25 clockwise its a Censored of a queue, stop start for a mile or three.
M3 coastbound or M25 anti-clock never seem to bad.... unless something go's tits up of course. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

I do this everyday, you need to be thru the junction by about 6:45am (M3 to M25) otherwise be prepared for 20-25 mins delay.

if you are doing m25 to m3 then it's ok because you are against the main traffic -

However, it only takes a caravanner (like tonight) to screw the whole thing up because the "thought police" highways agency will get on the scene and screw up the flow of traffic.

I am guessing this is for a holiday or are you planning on doing it every day ?

if you have traffic on your phone, keep an eye on it - fridays are the best day and now the holidays are here, its better.
