Tyre valve question - Ex-WMIK Blindos
One for the tyre & wheel experts out there - I recently bought a set of ex-WMIK Blindo alloy wheels, which were fitted at some point in their lives with a run-flat device. I'm having them blasted and painted and have removed the valves, a design which I have never seen before (only changed motorcycle tyres before).

I guess my questions are whether there is any advantage or disadvantage to replacing them with the same again and also can anyone confirm that these are simply bolt-in Schrader valves and why they were used in this application?

I had those type valves fitted years ago on my fz750 with astralite wheels. They used those because the pull through type wouldn't become airtight. Can't see a reason for this on yours.

Unless your wheels have been modified in some way to accommodate the run-flat and those valves, there is no reason not to use standard valve stems. I run normal stems in my tubeless Blindos.

I can't see any modifications to the wheels due to the run flat inserts - I'm wondering if these were just "belt & braces". I didn't think they were strictly necessary but thanks for confirming.

I had a trailer with these 2 piece type valves. It, I believe, was for running high loads and very high pressures.

I had some of these on some wheels I bought that had been used in a single make race series. I understood that they were "better" than push fit just because they could could not be removed/knocked out so easily.
