Cold chisel and hammer
![]() Seriously though I thought I was going to have a nightmare removing it from the Sandringham's tank as it wasn't the freshest. One sharp tap and it spun off. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

I ended up doing mine with a hammer and chisel. Getting it back on was the real struggle personally, getting enough downward pressure and turning enough at the same time. I'd probably by the tool next time

I've done one with a hammer and drift, and then I bought the £16 tool as noted above. I wished I had done it from the start, £16 well spent!

Excellent, appreciate the replies gentlemen. For the sake of £16.00 I’ll get the proper tool after paying £768.00 for a stainless tank it’s a drop in the ocean!
