Saturday's greenlaning day.
On this Saturday gone, our little group went for a local green laning day, you have seen plenty of pic's on this route, so i will let the pic's do the talking and hopefully not to many that you have seen before Wink

The day to start with was very showery on and off all the time with not many gaps between the showers Rolling Eyes

The meet up

Slight hold up on the 2nd or 3rd lane

This was the cause

The pipe had blocked so the water found another route Confused

After this lane we always stop to check the landy's as this lane is very narrow and low with foliage

Then onto this

At this point when i went to take this pic after shutting the gate, i realised that my CB Ariel was missing Rolling Eyes but the good thing having a pick up is that it was in the back, but i could not attach it as the base bit had finally broken after years of use

Same lane

A wider lane for a change Very Happy

Then as luck would have it the rain stopped just time for our lunch stop Very Happy

We could not do the lane before this one as they keep blocking it with a car on purpose and do not answer the door so we can ask them to move it Evil or Very Mad We have learnt that one of us has to go ahead to see if by any chance it is clear as this lane is best to come down it. We did get a car moved as they left it there abandoned, no tax or mot and not sorn'ed, so the council was informed and it was gone, sorry rant over Thumbs Up

Another nice lane, we stopped to see all was okay after going through the ford

Then all to soon it was the end of our day Sad

Proper LR’s in their proper habitat. Thumbs Up

Might be an ideal time for a CB Antenna upgrade Clayton. Wink

And yes, blocked lanes are a real pain. Sometimes burnt out or abandoned cars, other times piles of waste.

Some people have no respect for anyone or anything. Rolling Eyes

Looks like a good day, despite the wet. Thumbs Up Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

If this happens you should report it to the Police. The willfull obstruction of a highway is a criminal offence under Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980. in this context "highway" includes the road, the pavement, grass verges and private property used as a public thoroughfare, and "obstruction" includes anything that prevents passing and re-passing along the highway, and it is not necessary for the whole width of the highway to be blocked. The offence is obstructing the highway itself, not other highway users, so it is not necessary for anyone actually to be obstructed, it is the placement of the obstruction which is the offence. The obstruction has to be "willful" so generally the obstructor will be asked to move by the police and if they refuse this would be evidence of willfulness in court.

If convicted, the maximum penalty is a fine of £1000. First time offenders would generally be fined about £200.

Good idea to upgrade the CB antenna but i'm happy with this set up and i only use it for green laning trips and i to think that people have forgotten what the word respect means Rolling Eyes 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.
