It's my favourite museum. I've only been once would love to go back. I have a big interest in military aircraft and the collection there is tremendous. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Wanted to go for years just never got round to it always wanted to go and see the SR-71 just amazing how many aircraft they got there tomorrow off to bovington tank museum

It's just down the road from me, but sadly, I don't go as often as I should.
The first big hanger is enough for one day. If you walk round it all in a day, you can't really do it justice but you will need to keep walking! The American Hanger and the Blackbird are something to behold. An amazing building and an amazing plane. My old firm did the electrical install on the land warfare building right at the far end of the site when I was an apprentice (when the only place you would see a Blackbird was in a book or an Airfix Box or chirping on your tv aerial 
When I was a Kid, it was Concorde that was the draw. In those days it sat outside on the apron. These days, I have to say the stars for me are the Vulcan and the Victor. Cracking museum if anyone is thinking of going. |
