I bought 2 rolls of Black vehicle carpet off EBay for a total of £98 which was plenty and covered from the rear of the front seat boxes all the way back. It looked great when finished.
When I took the forward facing rear seats 6&7 out Of my first Defender as I didn’t need them I bought some black rubber grommets from my local diy store to put in the holes. Then carpeting over the top. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge This was the carpet I used buying in 2 rolls off eBay and cutting to size. I really enjoyed doing it and the end result was fantastic Sold the Puma Defender and bought a brand new Pangea Green 2020 Defender D240 S with a few factory extras! |

For plugging holes in wheel boxes, I've had a lot of success with scraps of aluminium glued to the underside with Sikaflex. Completely waterproof and leaves a level surface inside.
