Looking to get a jump on a solid Land Rover specialist in the Worcestershire area (Bromsgrove) anyone got any recommendations? Equally interested in learning as much as possible for myself- first time owner here so a lot to learn and a steep learning curve ahead I’m sure. Any top tips, reading, mechanics course recommendations gratefully received Very Happy Thanks Mr. Green

I would get a copy of the Genuine repair manual , all the car with the exception of the electrics, engine and gearbox is old school and easy to work on (some bits are heavy such as the diffs) and most jobs can be done on your drive.

regards the electrics most faults are old school, earth faults , shorts, and corroded connections.

the engine and box are ford so easy to get bits for.

this forum is great for advice and the search function works well.

someone else was recently asking for garages in the Worcester area and got loads of replys try the search

most importantly enjoy driving it DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

4x4 Development, Droitwich - almost on your door step!

Would include a link to the above mentioned thread, but just discovered I don't know how to! It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.
SIII CSW Safari, limestone, (JAC 914N). Where is she now?

It's not a car, it's a way of life!

Here is the link to the last threat about it:

Give Dave at 4x4 Development a call (01299 851255‬) as he is probably closest and I've always found him to be spot on.

An alternative would be Astwood 4X4 in Redditch - I've not tried them, only see their adverts in LRM.

Enjoy!

I did but annual leave until the 7th so voicemail told me to message via FB which I did and he has gotten back already- I need to email him the inspectors report for him to fit the advisories in (and check the repairs made by owner mech.) but he reckons it shouldn’t be a problem Very Happy Very Happy
