@Grenadier, we didn't actually share that much Laughing

My bender was made to repair the rock sliders from a friend. What a job that was, should have started from scratch, would have been easier!

I have used it to straighten the A frame on my neighbours topper (was doing a very good impression of an S frame). Other than that I did use it to bend a couple of brackets for my own version of the mantec shelf frames (as I have L322 seats in the 110 the would have needed modification anyway so made my own).

Thinner stuff I have just bent using a couple of clamps and muscles. E.g. Started building an tray that would utilise the space under the cubby box above the transfer box for electricals.

More often than not I've used it to bend brackets to make one off tools for a particular job. Although my press is powerful (at least 30t but possibly in the 80t) region its slow. But I do have a mains power pack on the way that can deliver the 15000psi required for the ram. As such it's a bit of a pain to use so usually find a other way of making something.

I'd say it's a fairly typical thing these days for me to knock together things like this (night before lasts efforts). It's on a slightly different scale to Land Rovers but made a set of quick hitch forks for the JCB overnight because I was expecting another half tonne of steel to show up (half of that was one 10mm plate), but surprise surprise it didn't.

On more LR related stuff, any repairs etc I tend to make the panels / brackets by hand now. E.g. My bits of bulkhead will need doing soon so rather than buy parts I'll probably just cut them out of a sheet with the plasma and bend them myself.

I run with my parents an small, specialised electronics company but we do most manufacturing in-house. Specialising in one offs we have a lot of equipment so we can usually make something in house and overnight if required. The house in the photo is where I live but longer term the business will move from my parents farm to mine. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to get the floor poured for the woke shop.

It is a never ending project (only been here about 18 months) but simple things like a few slipped slates on the roof become difficult problems as typically they're 40ft up. I have my own scaffolding but at that height need something to anchor it to and none of the windows on that side open properly to fix it through them.

Builders also seem to be scared of it because I've been trying to get quotes for sorting out the exterior and no one has actually delivered a quote yet! Ed

I think it shows I can't be a true millennial as I had to look up what it meant. Although I did use Google... Embarassed Ed
