the dealer offer is more than fair.

better to have hassle free cash sale now

rather than wait for the 1 retail buyer with the cash that wants a td5 over a puma.

most folk would buy newer at that price..

I’ve just sold a 90 to Joe at Hallam’s, sent lots of photos to him and an honest description, bought over the phone no hassle.

Agree on dealer offer. Unfortunately you are never going to get back the bulk of the cost of any accessories or upgrades you do to a vehicle.

That's surprising.
l was always under the impression that a lot of people preferred TD5's. l certainly couldn't find a good 90 XS SW or even a County for under about £14,000 when l was looking last year.

All us enthusiasts have varying opinions as to “ best model”
Nothing wrong with that 👍

Personally I would buy Puma for anything over £15k.... I have.
But I also happen to think 300 tdi is best ever! ( owned 3)

( I had a very expensive head failure on TD5 so never again ☹️)

Each to there own👍👍👍

Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....
Defender 90 HT............Pangea Green
BMW X3 Msport............Carbon Black
Mini Electric................Grey. (wow!)
MGB Roadster……..........Vermillion
Honda Benly CD200....Maroon ------------- Chausson 98.........7.5m of fun

Or try James French. I had a completely hassle free sale with them a few months ago.

Yes Jim Hallam but you deal with Joe. Yes probably top end pricing but stock is usually top end too I believe, certainly the 90 I have sold him was mint with low miles and was a hassle free process.

OK thanks for the advice, l will probably let the dealer have it, to be honest l am surprised at the lack of interested buyers, l thought the later TD5 XS SW was the holy grail of Defenders but despite dropping the price l've not had a single enquiry

It sure is an awesome Defender.
If the prices are going up and up it’ll probably stop people using them as the everyday driver and they’ll all be garaged and pampered.
GLWTS 👍

Probably, as you get a warranty for a start, which has to be worth having on a 15 year old Defender
