Loading heavy items into the boot
Yesterday I had to swap over my Argon welding gas bottles. Not easy in the new Defender as the bumper and edge of the boot are very delicate and wont tolerate anything resting on them.
I would advise looking at the bumper protector (at an extra cost) mind you if the protector is going to be fixed to the plastic bumper I don't see the point.
Big disappointment in my mind this one, the car should have a solid rail across the floor entrance. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Agreed. This was hidden in the D4 and D5 by the split tail gate.

There's no way they could fit a rigid bar across and meet crash protection legislation but a fold down lip inside the boot would have been awesome (like the D5 managed). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Must be why the boot mats are supplied with the bumper protection

What are they planning to do for the commerical ?

I suspect nothing..... Can't wait to see the first pictures of a pallet going in causing £2K's worth of bodywork damage.

Maybe people who want to carry Argon welding gas bottles in the back are no longer a target market, unfortunately. Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
