2015 110 front brake calipers.
As everything was very rusty, I replaced the rear calipers and discs with OEM units last year. It was all quite straightforward.

I think the front ones could do with some attention this year. Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be any OEM calipers available for the 2015 model. The genuine ones are of course eye-wateringly expensive. I wouldn’t mind trying to rebuild the original ones, but I don’t want to be stuck without the vehicle if I encounter a problem, so even a pair of pattern ones would do as a stopgap.

Has anybody found alternative units that fit, at a realistic price? There are some listed on eBay but it appears that they are for solid, not vented discs.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Unfortunately it looks as though they changed the Puma calipers in 2015 for VIN numbers FA onwards to a different part number, LR061253 and LR061254. These are the ones I can’t find, so if anybody has any information about them I would be very grateful.

I am considering zinc plating my less than shiny calipers. Never done it before, so no idea on the results. I can mask the bore before plating, or just re hone after plating.. not sure which is better.
This way i can apply a heavier, thicker plating that might last longer than OEM/Genuine.
The problem is when I will have the time to try it out! 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Changed what on the calipers in 2015? I bet its just a mpn change, same vented discs and mounting points are they not? Cheers

Yes, you may well be right James, but I would prefer if somebody can confirm it before I waste money on the wrong thing which won’t fit simply because LR (in their infinite wisdom) moved the brake pipe or changed the shape to satisfy some ridiculous late EU requirement. I could mention the traction control with the off switch, but let’s not go there...

There has to be somebody on here who knows if the calipers are identical or different?

lrworkshop shows SEB500460 from VIN 6A to EA, then LR061253 from FA.

So come on guys and gals, who has more information?

As long as the caliper is for vented discs it will be fine. Rgds.
