TD5 vnt turbo
I’ve recently had a vnt turbo fitted and wondered if it’s normal to hear a wooshing sound when driving and it’s boosting? Can anyone recommend a good company to do a good remap, tune to compliment the turbo and should I leave the cat exhaust in or remove? Thanks in advance.

If youve just bolted on a VNT without mapping it wont be running to its full potential.

Gareth at Empire tuning will be able to sort it for you. Based in Colchester but has dealers around the UK. Also offers a postal service for the ECU.

Check all boost/air hoses are connected. You will hear an increase in induction noise. Instagram @defender_ventures

Try td5 inside (edited), Jose made his name on td5 tuning and has years of experience at all levels to back it up. Cheers

I have never had a problem. I dont think bad mouthing someone that sells the same / similar product as you is really the way to do business on this forum, or generally acceptable.

Je engineering are another you have to try. Did great jobs on td5s I have had. Cheers

Not how I was meaning to come off, my post here comes from experience as a customer. Not as a member of thr Empire.

I used to be tuned by Jose but a selection of events last year mainly down to poor comms meant switching tuner. Instagram @defender_ventures

He's on here, contact Porny.

Also on Instagram @irbdevelopments and Facebook IRB Developments

Being as he was more or less the wizard of Jaguar Land Rover themselves as the Worldwide Emmisions guru, he knows how to get the best out of your td5/tdci.. Highly recommended.

He's in high demand, worth the chasing and I guarantee you won't leave disappointed.
I've used him many times on many of my Defenders, as well as taking friends down there Thumbs Up
