Most of the kits you get (YRM etc) will be A4-80 grade with ISO 14583 style torx heads (domed)

Which ones? The pairs across the top of the cross member securing the body? Or the pairs at the outer ends securing the seat belts brackets (only on Station Wagons with rear seats)?

The ones along the top securing the body can be A2-70, the ones at either end should probably be A4-80 (higher tensile strength).

Also consider hex socket head cap screws as well as Torx, personally I prefer them as I find they are less susceptible to 'rounding out' than Torx. Totally down to personal preference, and I can see why you would like to stick with the original look of Torx. I just find better purchase with a hex driver than a Torx driver.

It is also worth using a nylon washer behind the stainless bolt head and stainless washer to isolate it from the aluminium panel and coating the bolt / screw threads in something like Weicon ceramic assembly paste, otherwise oxidation of the aluminium panel is accelerated at the bolt head (ask me how I know!). 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green
