Twisted wheel nuts?
Does anyone know the history behind standard LR alloy wheel nuts and the different ones supplied by twisted? Apart from the extra zero on the cost. Why are twisted es as such?

Standard

Twisted

What would happen if the wrong ones were used by mistake or More importantly can the standard nuts just not fit a twisted wheel to avoid any doubt.

Cheers

that 'twisted' nut looks very like the style used on many aftermarket Speedline wheels (obviously different thread / size spec) but the design is almost identical with the protruding nose

These are the ones you need for twisted wheels. (second from bottom):

Nice (and expensive) stainless steel nuts, not the ones twisted supply that go rusty after awhile.
