“Radio preparation”
Hi folks.

On a 2010 defender county station wagon that had radio preparation on the build sheet, would it have the wires already run for all the speakers (lower dash speakers, upper dash tweeters and the two spaces behind the lights at the back of the tub)? Or is it just for the basic two in the lower dash?

Thank you!

Radio prep on the older ones was certainly for the most basic installation, but I don't know what that translates to on one your age. ---

With radio prep there should be wiring for all four speakers, plus the tweeters.
There are several variations of the front (main) loom, some with radio wiring and some without, strangely all the rear looms have speaker cables.

That’s great - thank you! I’ll get some appropriate speakers ordered - there’s currently just the lower two and a cheap head unit fitted and it’s a bit tinny and quiet.

My 2007 County-spec DC had the standard poverty-spec head unit (no Aux In socket) with four dash speakers when it left the factory. I can;t remember what it said on the build sheet though.

It's rather different now, mind you. Very Happy
