Yeah, maybe. I was browsing through the UK Lighting Regs (as you do) and notice that they don't mention DRL's by name but do refer to 'Running Lamps', which probably cover them given how they're defined. That too, specifies their implementation for new vehicles after a certain date (and references the EU regs linked to above) but where they are optional, it states 'no requirement'. Perhaps when the law was drafted they never imagined how keen people would be to retrofit them to vehicles that aren't obliged to have them as standard. Darren
