Advice on Computer microphone and headset
Right this is something way off from Land rovers.

In the near future finger crossed, I hope to be able to run a Caravan rally with a music and question competition which I would like to record and play back through a sound system to prevent the need for paper and the possible transfer of a Covid 19 . I would like to record/download the music to a PC and be able to speak the question then record more music so I would need to be able to listen the music . My PC, which is running windows 10, does have the facility to take a microphone.

Not having children, knowing anyone who can help and due to shielding I needing to stay away from shops etc I have know one to seek advice from.

Does anyone have recommendations for either a standalone microphone and headset or a headset combined with a microphone. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

I find mobile phone headphones with mic work pretty well.

If your computer has built in audio capability, you can get a headset with mike as suggested above - you will need one with 3.5mm jack. You can also get a USB one.

Most mobile phones come bundled with one but if need to buy a cheap one - something like this

This is recommended by our IT dept and works well from experience (used 3-4+ per day currently).
Before the lock down increased home working, amazon had it for about £25, but they are currently out of stock.

Have a look on What the PC Gamers use, Those people tend to use stuff like that. Not sure how good they are, I did have a gaming set of head phones that came with the keyboard and mouse. Shame i chucked them, i could have posted them to you for nothing. But they were not exactly the best of quality so beware with PC gaming head equipment Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Have been using a Plantronics headset for work calls over the last 8 weeks working at home with no issues my end. Boom mic does pic up noise from the cable rubbing against shirt collar though. It's a USB lead with a control built in for volume, mute, etc.
