Im doing the same soon.

Where is the kit from, is it quite a phaff to fit or relatively plug and play?
I do get annoyed when I jump in mine and find the rears have been left down slightly  then you do a wired maneuver
to get you hand to slide behind you in a gap that isn't their to wind it up. |

Fitting multiple switches for the same window (i.e., one in the front and one in the door) is something of a pain and quite complex. I had planned to do this when I fitted mine but in the end decided that it was much, much easier to fit both rear switches to the rear of the cubby where they can be reached easily from either the front or rear of the vehicle.
I also looked into fitting genuine LR switches but even this becomes complicated due to the need for plinths etc., and so in the end I took the easy option and used the switches supplied with the kit. I have never regretted either decision, and my (very severe) OCD is ok with it too! Electric rear window lifters on a 110 are one of the best mods you can do, they transform the vehicle in warm weather, especially if you don't have a/c. |

Yeah, the above kit comes with a loom for one window to the battery and another loom for the other window that includes a separate switch taht controls both windows. Just a case of extending the "control" switch loom to suit where I want it.
Cant mount on the cubby as ive got a sub there. So door card it is! Should just be a case of following the central locking wiring out the door and where i need it Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

If you reroute the harness as it enters the door so that it follows a route similar to the harness for the front doors, then you'll find that you no longer have to repair the rear door harnesses once a year.
If you look at the fronts, the harness leaves the A post and enters the door about three inches lower, so it is flexed relatively little in a sort of Z shape, and therefore doesn't work-harness and fail particularly quickly. The rear doors have the B post and door entry points level, so that with the door shut the harness is sort of U shaped and every time you open/close the door it undergoes far more drastic flexing, so the wires work-harden quickly and break. It is easy when you have the door in pieces to move the door end of the harness significantly lower (the same level as the front doors) and this will drastically increase the life expectancy of the harness. |

What?
Ive personally had my 110 for almost 4 years, its a daily so it is well used. Never had an issue with any wires breaking anywhere. Front leccy windows work as the should, as does the central locking on all 4 doors. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

You're lucky then. The life expectancy of the rear door harness is about 12 months on a well used vehicle, and the fronts about 5 years. It's a very common problem, as evidenced by the many threads on this forum.
