What is the best source for technical data? Haynes Manual?
What is the best source for technical data?

Does the Haynes Manual cover the electrical aspects of the TD5 in detail?

Is there a better source of information? Torque values for fastening parts and disassembly & assembly procedures?

I have manuals for my Series and they are handy just thought I might buy one for the Defenders unless a better option is out there!

Thumbs Up

The Land Rover Workshop Manual is the official one, they are more expensive than a Haynes but contain a lot more detail. You can also download it as a PDF Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Haynes appears to me to have become beyond useless nowadays, with all but the simplest of jobs being described as being difficult and requiring special tools, so should be left to a professional. They are also printed on the world's most revolting recycled paper!

The recent Landrover official manuals are riddled with errors but are still the only ones worth bothering with.

Def2 is pretty good for information too.

I think it was FORD that bought Haynes sme years ago and basically made everything a 'dealer job' to try and maintain revenue...... Embarassed
