pls confirm this is NOT a salisbury rear axle
Have a large clonk on the rear of my 2007 TD5 110 and believe I need to change the half shafts and flanges

I believe this is a standard Land Rover rear Axle and not a Salisbury one

Please can a grown up confirm this and give me any pointers re buying the above kit

FWIW I weld my rear flanges to the axle. Simple fix and I never had a clonk since I did that. Most parts purveyors sell what you need. Look for OEM. Aftermarket tend to be softer and wear quickly and you have the clonk back fairly quickly.

I'd be taking a look at your (non standard) anti roll bar drop links first.
This doesn't look right to me and I suspect it is clunking every time it goes over a bump.

Any special method to welding them up? I only have a mig which I assume is less than ideal, but a mate has recently bought a tig welder....

Well spotted! I was looking at the threaded link for that A/R bar but never noticed the odd angle of the balljoint Laughing

I'd be checking both sides, and any other bits of that bar.
