Realy connections
Now I have the time I'm wanting to fit a relay to handle the power to several items that require an Ignition feed and not wanting to overload several fuses. I'm having a senior moment and need someone to confirm my thought process.

I have all the bits, cable, relay and fuse board to wire the individual items to, it's just the terminal numbers on the relay I ned help with.

If I remember correctly this is how it should go.

30, Power from battery.
85, earth.
86, Trigger from ignition live.
87, power out to fuse board. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Richard, your memory has not failed you. You’ve allocated the terminals correctly. I’ve looked it up rather than rely on my own ageing memory Rolling with laughter

It may be prudent to include a fuse close to the battery on your power feed unless the cable run is only a very short one.

Im “currently” midst a similar project myself. Thumbs Up

Bow down

Thanks Rockster I have fitted plenty in the past and never had to think about it. I thought about a fuse in the input side so I purchased one with an inbuilt fuse to protect the input side. Don't make old people mad.
