United Kingdom 2016 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 PU Stornoway Grey
No torque when cold
I have a 110 Puma 2016MY.

I am having the following issue and looking to see if anyone has any ideas.

Engine starts well and ticks over as normal but when starting from cold as soon as I put it into 1st gear it has no torque.

Once I get some speed up and into 2nd or third it drives as normal. Once it is walm torque back in 1st is ok.

We are in Cusco as 3,400m so not sure if this is to blame.

Thanks for the help,

Martin

Is there an rev hunting on idle when stone cold. I.e. minor RPM fluctuation?

Have you managed to or have capability to check for Diagnostic Trouble codes?

It could be the VCV but there usually are some symptoms of that.

Is there Power there towards 60mph + or does it seem like you need to push it?

The VCV doesn't flag DTC's but the other two symptoms are that I found mine had.

You may have DTC's logged for other issues though so may be worth checking.
