Well, m57 background work started a while ago when I upgraded front calipers. Pad contact area seems same as std front pads although discs are bigger dia, bigger vented gap. Unloaded there is minimal difference, towing or loaded they are far better than std brakes. Yes I know lots will say std brakes are fine and for 90% of the time they are. But extra weight of the 130 when she is all up with camping gear and towing makes it a heavy lump and the greater dia discs certainly help, they seem to cool better too which going auto will be useful living in a hilly area towing regularly.

These have been on 12mths now.

So mud outweighed rust, one mudflap off. Gwyn Lewis to the rescue. Mounted them high to cover the end of the side sills. hopefully they are still long enough. Should stop crud going up the side.

Did the same Gwyn Lewis from flap shield and brackets. Beautiful natural fit. Looks factory and provides a whole bunch of protection! Nice piece of kit.

Well that was fun. What a time consuming job removing a 2.4 compared to most other lr engines.

You did well getting it out all in 1 lump. with the angles etc and getting it over the front crossmember. When I did the 200tdi it was hard enough to keep the transfer box up off the floor and sump up and over the front crossmember.
