Nugget Stuff recovery point - anyone have one?
Hi folks. Been looking to find or make a rear recovery point for my TDCi 90 for a while: didn't want anything that just relied only on the four front captive nuts on the face of the crossmemeber and didn't really want a full tow bar (don't tow and as a 2010 CSW it'd have to be type approved, so receivers are just an expensive way to get a recovery billet).

Was just about to start making one when I came across the Nugget Stuff recovery point. I'd seen it before but dismissed it as another welded "4 captive nut" bracket. Then I noticed it had an angle that engaged with the three lower nuts too. Its still only as string as the crossmember welds, but a big improvement on a 4-bolt eye.

Wondered if anyone had one and if they had any feedback?

Happy to buy one and take the punt, have emailed Brendan to see if he can get one in.

I had a Dixon bate pin type hitch on my old defender that worked well. I didn't tow with it so it was perfect for recovery and was way less costly than the Nuggetstuff piece. Obviously only used the same bolt holes as a nato pintle for example.

In fact I may have to take it back on the pricing, after a few I have just seen.....

Edit - I have just put the Safari Equip 2" Receiver on my 2012 and if yours is N1 then it is perfectly legal at that date to have one and use it. It's also "only" £186 and admittedly you do have to buy the towball/Pin but mine was only about £50 so still not too bad in total. It can be removed when not needed and you can tow if you want to.
