The cheap wing mirror assemblies are pants, I had one try and detach itself from the door hinge on a toll road in France (doing about 60mph).
It was fitted correctly but the body was made of cheese, and the captive threads stripped ![]() I also tried to swap the mirror glass from the cheap ones and no matter how carefully I tried, it wouldn't come out without breaking ![]() Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |

Warming the seal/retainer can help with getting the glass out Cheers

Well I for one am not very impressed with genuine.
This happened at 55mph when I made contact with a Pheasant last weekend. Not sure the Pheasant was very impressed, either. How would you feel having survived the shooting season, only to be taken out by a Land Rover? ![]() Click image to enlarge The radio aerial took a bit of a beating also. It is being replaced with genuine LR. |

I am sure that the pheasant now has the means to reflect-tion its actions.
![]() I’ll get my coat. I went Spartax as I was either braking mirror glass green laning or sometimes catching one backing into the garage. |
