United Kingdom 1990 Defender 110 Td5 HT Bronze Green
[For Sale] 200tdi engine and gearbox
Hi all,

Would anyone be interested in a complete Defender spec 200tdi engine with all ancillaries, radiator, radiator frame, engine loom, intercooler, airbox, exhaust downpipe, with lt77?

It's a good engine and box, starts and runs well. Radiator was new 4 and a half years ago, has been well serviced in my ownership (6 years), hasn't asked for much otherwise! This would be a complete solution for someone and could even come with the engine mounts.

I'm looking to convert to td5 and r380 as planning to do more miles and I miss my old td5.

Looking for about £1300 as that seems to be the going rate for this selection. I'd also swap for a running discovery 2 with manual box (as a donor).

Everything is still fitted and running in my 110, so I'll need to remove and stick onto a pallet for collection/delivery.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Age and mileage are unknowns unfortunately. The engine was swapped into the 110 before I owned it and it came with very little history.

All I know is what I've done in the last 6 years, which is almost 18k miles. I've never had any issues with the engine or gearbox in this time. Starts well, bit of smoke initially which clears quickly. Runs clean and well. I'm getting an average of 26mpg with roof rack and roof tent fitted.

Timing belt last changed in September 2014. 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power

compression test and leakdown test along with oil pressure would be good to establish the health of the engine.

Agreed, but unfortunately I have access to none of these!

I'd be happy for any interested parties to come along and test/see the engine before committing. As stated, it's still fitted and running at the moment. 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power
