TD5 air filter housing mods.
I want to improve the air flow across my TD5 air filter. I can get inside the thing and start grinding plastic out as per previous posts or.............is it viable to fit a 200 or 300 Tdi jobbie instead? These units appear to be far more straightforward. Am I on the right track? Nothing suggests poor workmanship like wrinkles in the duct tape.

Just smack the impeller out with a hammer. Reseal the holes with some cut up 2L bottle and silicone. Td5 box is more than happy to let a TD5 fully breath at standard with that impeller removed.

Dont use a foam filter if you go off road. Stick to Gen LR Instagram @defender_ventures

Thanks Bankz5152 but I have modded everything except a bigger turbo and that's to come shortly. So I am looking for more airflow than stock to feed that. Nothing suggests poor workmanship like wrinkles in the duct tape.
