Beep from the alarm on start up
Puma 2.2
When I turn the ignition key to the Aux position it brings up the glow plug warning light. As soon as the light extinguishes I turn the key to the start position and the vehicle starts up OK.

If however I turn the ignition key and go straight to the start position (ie not pausing to extinguish the glow plug warning light)
then the alarm emits a loud but short beep. Is this an alarm problem in the making and/or has anyone else experienced this phenomena? Defender 90XS SW

Low battery? Glow plugs taking their whack at the same time as the starter motor?

Yes, I get the same, I keep thinking about a trickle charger which I have on a couple of other vehicles.

I use a Thumbs Up Ctek 5 charger. Battery voltage is at 12.6 volts. Haven't tested the voltage during start up. Not too concerned as other forum members seem to experience the same bleep/chirp on start up. i was just worried that the alarm may be starting to play up. Fingers crossed Defender 90XS SW
