235s on 8j?
Just bought some 16x8 black steel mods and ideally want to buy some 265s but cant fund that idea yet, currently running boosts on 235s and wondered if i could swap the wheels and keep same tires for time being? Any problems with this? Anyone running the same? Cheers

From MUD-UK 's website, the Nakatanenga ANR 8x16 steel wheel is approved for the following sizes, but list does not include 235/85/16.

The ANR Classic steel rim carries TÜV approval for the following tubeless tyre sizes:

245/70 R 16

255/65 R 16

255/70 R 16

255/85 R 16

265/70 R 16

265/75 R 16

275/70 R 16

285/75 R 16

295/75 R 16

As above. Technically no you shouldn’t, they should be on a 7 rim but it can be done if you want. I know a lot of people that have them on an 8j modular.
Just takes a bit more effort to seal the bead but easily doable. Hold my beer and watch this!

Unsure of the technicalities but I've run 235 85 16s on 8j Mach5s for roughly 15 years. Never a problem, they have been nasty off road remolds. Its not a town car though.
