RIP Terance Conran
Always struggled to find online photos of this interior ~ note it's missing the bag.

As a very young Traffic Bobby many, many years ago I used to drive a Conran finished Disco...still have a soft spot for them. Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

Wow - that brings back memories... was explaining to the Mrs that Conran had designed the interior of the first Disco. We had a '92 J reg which replaced a 205Gti when I came back from overseas back in the mid 90s. It was an 'SHP' suffix factory car that I bought from a guy who was a senior manager at the factory. Interior was beige & the Mrs hated it (except when it was towing her horse box) because it only had 3 doors & front seats that hinged forward to get in the back. She doesn't remember the bag but I do. I'm on my 4th & 5th Discos now, a D4 & a D2 V8 - much more civilised than any of the Defenders I've ever owned - I must be getting old Whistle

I had a 5 door 200tdi from about 2004 for green laning and it was a brilliant vehicle. Did everything I ever asked of it and never let me down.

Mine had the beige interior, and was originally a 5 seater, but I spent months tracking down a pair of rear jump seats for it, as apparently beige was the rare colour of the two! Always found the spot where the bag went the perfect spot for brewing up when the weather was bad.

Got to admit to having bit of a soft spot for the original Disco Thumbs Up 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW
