I've got a K5 and it suffers from all the same faults, only had it a couple of years but don't see it lasting too much longer so I would also be interested in some decent alternatives. 2015 Defender 90XS HT

I recently bought a karcher professional. Just got fed up with the K series faults. It’s night and day. Will get the model number tomorrow Andy

I changed to Nilfisk range a few years back as was annoyed at the quality v price of karcher.
The pumps on the nilfisks just last. And the hoses etc.. are a lot cheaper if/when you knacker them. Far better value and a great tool. |

I have a K5 as well. I couldn't complain for the price I paid to be honest.

Kranzle for me too... I've a k7 model and can't fault it... But as Joe says not cheap, but then again longterm investments rarely are. Cheers

Moved from Karcher to Kranzle when they launched new units for car detailing. They are literally built like a proverbial tank.
Go for the “Total Stop” Model as this has the auto on/ off for the pump. I have one with the wind-up reel. This is really handy and saves coiling up all the cable. The other unit doesn’t have this and it’s a pain to have to manually do this... Items like seals are cheap and they are very easy to work on. They have a different fitting to Karcher etc. So if you have things like a Snow Foam then you will need an adapter. |

I have a Kercher one too. I end up going the morrisons more often than not because theirs is so much more powerful 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)

It's worth noting that the pressure of a pressure washer is less important to the performance than the flow rate. It's not much use having a really high pressure jet of water if it's only a tiny one.
That's where the Kranzle machines win, because they aren't that much more powerful, but they do put out a lot of flow. You do need to check your outside tap can actually supply the necessary flow rate of course. I may be able to offer some suggestions if it doesn't...! |

I have a Nilfisk C120 7-6 PCA Pressure Washer and never had a problem although the hose does self coil, this is due to the hose being coiled during manufacture. The hoses have to reinforced to cope with the pressure which makes them stiff. Karcher industrial hoses are pain unless you are running hot water through them. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to  us off.

The hose on my Kranzle is nice and flexible, and it's nearly 50' long as standard.

Looking like kranzle is the way forward so far!
Seems to tick a lot of boxes, pricey but good quality I’m lead to believe. Could do with some help on this. I have a Kranzle 160. Had it at my last house and it worked fine, now moved out into the sticks and my outside tap is 25-30m from my drive. Not enough pressure to run it. I had even thought of placing an IBC unit at the bottom of the garden to feed it but it seems a bit overkill 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
