OT - Film 1917
Wow. I have just seen the new WW1 film 1917. A very powerful film, technically brilliant and made me think some of us are very lucky not to have been born into more troubled times. 2010 XS USW

I agree with all of those statements!

A great film that focuses its efforts on a singular story; two friends delivering an important message. A very immersive film 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

Saw this film a couple of days ago in 4DX. It certainly enhances the experience having the seat shaken and tilted, getting the wind in the face and legs and even water spray in the face where appropriate! Fantastic film.

Most of it was filmed on Salisbury plain.... got a picture of my 110 parked next to the "barn" and walled garden area that gets blown up.

Security were right nobs.... moaning about people parked/driving on public RoWs and "getting in the way of shots".... Rolling Eyes

needless to say I may have told them my point of view on that matter....

Its amazing when you look back that even something as simple as penicillin had not been discovered until 1928.

35 years prior to the start of WW1 that the last battle the British army fought in red tunics - Rorke's Drift.
