Stolen RR
Friend had his 15 plate rangie stolen the other week....

Turns out someone had ordered a 3rd key for it from LR... how do they manage to do this? someone dodgy at LR? what do they need surely ID and maybe the v5?

Can't LR be held semi responsible for it going missing boggles the mind....

Very ‘Gone in 60 seconds’. You can’t order a number plate without the V5, but you can get a new key 🤷‍♂️

Its not something new.

Twenty years ago I managed to lock two sets of keys in my (at the time) Discovery while on holiday in Oxford, walked into a dealership explained my predicament. I was asked for the reg number and was told that a set of keys would be available the next day. The next day I went back and was pres4ented with a set of keys and the fob for the alarm which by the way had been set up. I paid cash and all I was asked for was my surname. It was easy as that no checks made. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Maybe the case but lets be right that doesn't have any effect on the governments budget donations unlike false plates which potentially diddle them out of spending fines, etc...... Rolling Eyes

Dealerships have a fix for this.

The ‘security feature” mentioned in the link below is disabling any more than the two keys provided with the vehicle. And preventing any more being coded to the vehicle.

Worth getting this applied when you’re in next
