On another level
This video shows the level and standard of modifications available in the US.
Ride sensing and adjustable shocks, adjustable steering dampers, axle and brake upgrades, wheels with preset air-down valves built in, and lift kits.
It's a long video, but it helps to fill the time.

I know what you mean.

The number of fabricators in the US is far more numerous to what we have in the UK. Not to mention the great showcase for fabricators which is the annual SEMA show.

Looking through my subscription list on You Tube, if it is 4x4 related the vast majority are Jeep or Toyota. Not only is the fabrication great to watch but the time and effort in the film making is second to none. Better than the wind swept mobile phone efforts you see if it is Land Rover related in the UK.

Americans do more with newer vehicles as well as they tend to buy their cars by sourcing personal loans instead of the PCP route favoured in this country where the car is expected to be returned in the same condition it was purchased in.

I cant see US owners of the new Defender rushing to junk the suspension in favour for a full Terraflex or Icon Vehicle Dynamics set up but I recon that the various fabricators and suspension specialists will be all over the Bronco when it comes out.

And once they do, expect the lifestyle US market to buy the Bronco (and still the Wrangler and Toyota 4 Runner) over and above the small tyred Defender....

For anyone interested check out the You Tube video below, Discovery 2 axle swap from a Ford Superduty.

That's a great video, thanks, he knows his stuff, has the gear to do the job and importantly, recognises when he needs advice. Will be looking up his other stuff.
It was especially interesting for me, I was involved with the development and manufacture of D2 axles. Thumbs Up

Will enjoy watching that in a bit no doubt thank you.

Funny how the Jeep legend lives on, if I wasn't happy with my 90 as much as I am now or didn't have one the Jeep Wrangler I'd seriously be looking at.
It's built for purpose, and not for status and as has been mentioned private financing is a better route in my opinion too.
PCP would not be of any interest to me at all, may as well use a taxi if that's what that sort of thing is like. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Me and a friend were invited to a Jeep off road day a few years ago. We virtually had the Wrangler all day and both came away very impressed. If only I could convince the wife to swap her Disco Sport for one. I can but dream. Defender 90XS SW

The American Market is very different to ours.

I have a English friend in America who part owns RTE Welding & Fabrication in New Jersey and they have been fabricating stuff mostly for Discovery 2's, as Defenders are as rare as hen's teeth over there.

Also they have a different view on Construction and Use regulations where as almost anything goes. So some stuff would not sadly be allowed over here. Cheers Don.
