Usually 2K matt is a direct gloss paint with matting agents added. It, therefore, needs no lacquer.
You can, however, use a standard black paint then lacquer with matting agents in the lacquer ![]() If the base coat is already matt then it won't need lacquer ![]() So basically 2k paint, regardless of finish, is a top coat. Be that direct gloss. Lacquer etc. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Now that i understand . Like a one coat does all sort of thing .... As long as its a hard surface , UV etc , im happy .
So when he went mmmmm we never clear coated matt as clear is to give shine . He must of meant its a direct gloss + matt agent paint . |
