If your on about the gearstick vibrating and causing a noise - i get it at some some revs and apparently its the selector plate that needs replacing as its not holding tightly enough. Mike

I notice chatter in 6th at about 110kph when backing off the throttle. When re-applying power it is there again, briefly. I mentioned it to the dealer and he said it is a transfer case bearing. However the noise is there again momentarily upon starting, but only when the clutch is not depressed (the handbook says to depress the clutch when starting). This could not possibly be the transfer case as the gears would be stationery with the main gearbox in neutral. It could well be the selector plate,
Austen.

I think "simonpuma90" has a valid point. I've been without my Puma 90 for 3 weeks and a day now while they (the dealer) sort out gearbox and driveline issues. Land rover have washed their hands of it saying my contract of sale is with them not LR Thanks a bunch for your help LR!!!. They're now apparently waiting for a special transmission tool from SPX.
Bosun.

Yes thats because its the selector guide - which wont have been replaced and thats what you need replaced. Mike
