Conical seats for wheel nuts *almost* always use a 60 degree angle, and as far as I know all Landrover conical seats (since 1947) have done so. A nut for a Defender alloy wheel can therefore be used on a steel wheel, but not vice versa.

The conical part on an alloy-wheel nut in fact serves no purpose other than (a) to make aligning the wheel slightly easier and (b) to allow the nut to be used on steel wheel in an emergency, since the actual seat on an alloy wheel is flat. If (a) was the only intent, a smaller angle would have been used.
