Electrical Gremlins
My 2014 2.2tdci has a strange issue shortly after starting. Initially the radio works but then cuts out and comes back on a few minutes later. During this time sometimes multiple warning lights come on and other times the battery light flashes. I can also hear what sounds like a pulse from the sub woofer and sometimes a sound from the dash fuse box thst sounds like a relay pulsing but I can't determine which one. Usually the radio comes back on but if not I have to restart and then its all back to normal. Does this sound like a faulty relay and if so which one? Any help to sort this annoying problem much appreciated!. Thanks.

Have you checked the nuts on the battery terminals? Are they loose maybe?

Could be a dodgy ignition switch, the contacts are loose and dropping the connections.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Sorry I meant the contacts internally, not the external connections.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Did you check the voltage of your battery ? How old is it ?

Tested the battery and it is healthy. Charged it up fully just in case. Same problem. Disconnected the radio, same problem. Checked voltage through cig socket on dash and jt drops down to just over 10 volts when this happens, headlights are dimmer as well then after a while it resolves itself and all ok again.
